Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-08
Last updated: 2026-08-30
This Privacy Policy explains how PaliAi, LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Clyde mobile application (the "App"). By using Clyde, you agree to this Policy.
If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide - Outfit photos. When you capture or import a photo, it is uploaded to our servers for AI analysis and saved to your wardrobe. - Messages and requests. We collect the messages, prompts, and styling requests you submit in the AI stylist chat. - Style profile and wardrobe information. We collect the name, age range, style goals, brand and wardrobe preferences, taste choices, detected garments, and fit history you choose to create or save in the App. - Apple Sign In identifiers. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymized user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email. - Purchase information. When you buy a subscription, Apple processes the transaction and shares product, transaction, subscription, and refund status with us via RevenueCat so we can grant or revoke the correct Premium benefits.
b. Information collected automatically - Device identifiers. We generate a device-scoped token to authenticate your requests. We do not collect IDFA or use third-party advertising trackers. - Approximate location. If you grant location permission, Clyde rounds your coordinates to one decimal (roughly city or neighborhood level) before sending and storing them. We use this coarse location for local weather and local-day context; raw GPS coordinates are not stored. - Diagnostic data. Standard crash and error logs (no user content) to keep the App running.
c. Information we do not collect - Contacts, microphone audio, health data, financial account details, or browsing history outside the App.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the App (analyze outfits, save your wardrobe, render share cards).
- Process subscriptions, refunds, and Premium entitlements.
- Show local weather on the Home screen.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos to train third-party AI models.
3. AI Processing and Your Permission
Before any personal data is sent to a third-party AI provider, the App displays a consent notice and asks for your permission. If you do not allow this sharing, the App will not send your photos, messages, or profile context to an AI provider, and features that require AI processing will not run.
Depending on the feature you request, we send the following data:
- Anthropic, PBC (Claude): outfit or garment photos; chat messages and styling requests; and relevant context such as your name, style profile, wardrobe items, prior fit feedback, and optional location-derived weather. Anthropic uses this data to analyze outfits, provide styling feedback, power the stylist chat, and suggest outfits.
- OpenAI, L.L.C.: outfit or garment photos, garment descriptions, and image-editing instructions. OpenAI uses this data to create requested visualizations, product-style garment images, and outfit images.
We use these providers' business API services. Under our agreements with them, submitted data is used to provide the requested service and is not used to train their general-purpose models. They are required to protect personal data with safeguards that provide the same or equivalent protection described in this Policy.
Provider privacy information: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy and https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with:
- Apple — for sign-in and in-app purchase processing.
- RevenueCat — to manage subscription state, refunds, and entitlements.
- Anthropic — for AI analysis of your photos as described above.
- OpenAI — for AI image generation and editing as described above.
- Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Railway, object storage) that host the App on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Affiliate networks and merchants when you open a shopping link. They may receive standard link and device information under their own privacy policies so purchases can be attributed.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
5. Data Retention
- Photos and wardrobe data: retained while your account is active. You can delete individual items in-app, or delete your account to remove all of your content.
- Approximate location: retained while your account is active, removable in Settings at any time, and deleted with your account.
- Purchase records: retained as required by tax, accounting, fraud-prevention,
and App Store dispute obligations. To prevent a refunded or previously used
StoreKit transaction from being replayed after account deletion, we retain a
one-way transaction hash, product, and lifecycle state. This
deletion-resistant record does not contain the receipt, purchase payload,
email, Apple identifier, or Clyde user ID. Pending or dead-letter webhook
records retain only the minimum sanitized lifecycle fields needed to finish
a purchase or refund; raw webhook payloads are never stored, and raw
transaction identifiers and Clyde account candidates are erased after
successful reconciliation.
- Diagnostic logs: typically rotated within 90 days.
To delete your account and its photos, profile, wardrobe, fit history, and plan
usage history, open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. You can
also email [email protected] from the address
associated with your Apple Sign In. The minimal, non-reversible transaction
record described above remains where required for financial integrity and
fraud prevention.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Port your data to another service.
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already done).
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California residents: We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
7. Children
Clyde is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS in transit, access controls, encrypted storage) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
We operate from the United States. If you use Clyde from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email. Continued use of Clyde after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
